After facing triple-match point in both the fourth and fifth sets, No. 21 Oklahoma Baptist rallied to top Friends in five sets Saturday morning in the Bison Blast.

"That's how we've played about every match, whether we win or lose," said a relieved Lady Bison Coach Anna Howle.

OBU won 24-26, 25-11, 24-26, 28-26, 17-15.

After losing a tough opening set and coasting in the second, OBU fell 26-24 in the third set and had Friends thinking upset.

Those thoughts were even more alive when the Falcons took a 24-21 lead in the fourth set. Skyler Strahm had the answer for OBU. She came up with a pair of kills around a block with Kristin Pressley to tie the score at 24-24.

After a Friends attack error, OBU won with a kill by Sabra Clark to force a fifth game.

Friends got out to a 10-6 lead and was up 14-11 before another big OBU rally. Rupia Inck had two kills sandwiching a finesse kill by Clark to knot things at 14-14 before a Kyleigh Mitchell ace for a 15-14 OBU edge.

The Falcons tied the score but OBU carried the momentum and got a kill by Inck and a block by Inck and Sarah Allison to seal the victory.

Inck had 18 kills, followed by Pressley with 16 and Strahm and Tarah Derden with 14 each. Clark added nine. Clark also had 51 assists.

Inck had 23 digs, followed by Cami Weimer with 19, Clark with 13, Pressley with 11 and Chassie Hamilton with 10.
Strahm led OBU with two solo blocks and two block assists.

Ciara Lawson led Friends with 19 kills.

Now 8-6, OBU plays College of the Ozarks at 2:30 p.m.
