For the first time in school history, three Lady Bison soccer players have been named CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District.

Cara Cecil and Maddision Nelson are First-Team District 6 College Division selections while Marinne Burnham is named as a Second Team selection.


Cecil and Nelson, both First-Team defenders, are now eligible for consideration as CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-Americans.

The District 6 College division includes NCAA II, NCAA III, NAIA and junior colleges from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Cecil, a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, has a 3.92 grade point average, majoring in biology. She has six goals and one assist this season.

Nelson, a senior from Sherman, Texas, carries a 3.98 grade point average, majoring in exercise science. She has two assists this season.

Brunham, a senior midfielder from Longmont, Colo., has a 3.74 grade point average in exercise physiology and wellness. She has two goals on the year.
