Women's Soccer - Fri, Nov. 19, 2010
Newcastle High School senior Taler Campbell has signed to play women's soccer at Oklahoma Baptist in the 2011 season.

The daughter of Kristine Easter and Cory Campbell, Taler is a 5-9 defender. She led Newcastle to a district championship last season - the program's initial season.

Campbell also has earned Little All-City honors in track and also was All-Conference and Academic All-Conference in basketball.

She has played club soccer with OFC-Zenati and Oklahoma ODP, earning MVP honors.

Academically, Campbell is a member of the National Honor Society, an Honors student, member of Mu Alpha Theta National High School Mathematics Honor Society and the recipient of numerous Outstanding Achievement awards.

"Their program is young," said Campbell of OBU. "Coach White genuinely cares about his players and wants to maximize their potential. I want to be a part of the growth development for not only the team but for my individual growth as well.

"The girls on the team are amazing, very diverse but united as a team. I've also heard from so many people that OBU's Science program can compete at a DI level, but lucky enough to have professors at OBU who give you personal attention and care about you as a student. I'm very excited to be a Lady Bison!"
