Five Oklahoma Baptist University women's soccer players earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors, it was announced Friday.
Cara Cecil, Laura Wesevich, Maddison Nelson, Marinne Burnham and Molly Brown received the honor, which requires the student athlete to have junior or senior academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
Cecil, a senior defender from Kansas City, Mo., is a biology major. Wesevich, a senior defender from Bartlesville, is a Bible major. Nelson, who is an exercise science major, is a senior defender from Sherman, Texas.
Burnham, a senior midfielder from Longmont, Colo., is majoring in exercise physiology and wellness and Brown, a junior defender from Jonesboro, Ark., majors in anthropology.
