Oklahoma Baptist got another strong pitching effort, but couldn't come up with the offense while Mid-America Christian came up with just enough defensive plays to take the game, 3-2, in 10 innings.

It was MACU's first Sooner Athletic Conference win.

The Bison had one runner thrown out at home from the outfield and left seven runners in scoring position.

Chad Hardison pitched 7.2 innings and fanned 11, allowing two runs - one earned, but got no decision. Kyle Brule (1-1) was charged with the loss, allowing one run in two innings while striking out four.

OBU took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Bam Davis, but MACU tied the game on an RBI double by Jon Jon Lemos in the bottom of the first.

Daniel Baptista ripped his team-leading seventh home run to start the second inning. From there, Eric Sweeney held the Bison scoreless on five hits into the 10th inning.

MACU tied the game with an unearned run in the eighth.

The Bison had two runners on in the top of the 10th but Ivan Juvera worked out of the jam and got credit for the win when David Rhoads got a sacrifice fly to end the game in the bottom of the 10th.

OBU had nine hits, including three by Davis and two by Jonathan Gelpi.

Now 18-5 overall and 8-1 in the SAC, the Bison host Sterling in a 4 p.m. doubleheader Monday.
