Oklahoma Baptist University is sending 33 athletes to Marion, Ind., for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 26-28.

The 14 Lady Bison headed to the meet are the favorites to win their first outdoor track and field title, after having won it all four times since 2005 indoors. If the scoring goes according to the seeding, the Lady Bison should win with 82 points, followed by Azusa Pacific with 74, Concordia (Oregon) with 70 and Wayland Baptist with 55.

The men's team, according to event seeding, is expected to finish in a sixth-place tie with Florida Memorial with 30 points. Doane is the favorite, expecting 55 points, followed by Shorter at 54, Wayland Baptist at 43, Langston and 41 and Embry-Riddle at 40.

Verone Chambers is the top seed in the 400 meters at 53.45 seconds and fourth in the 100 meter hurdles at 13.99 seconds. Stacy Warrior is the third seed in the 400 meters.

Gayon Evans is seeded first in the 200 meters at 23.21 and second in the 100 meters at 11.37 seconds. Nikita Tracey is the top seed in the 400 meter hurdles at 58.58 seconds.

Yesenia Avila is the eighth seed in the 800 meters at 2:13.61.

The 4x100 relay which will include combinations of Warrior, Tracey, Chambers, Evans, Shondia Drew and Nicole Cummings, is the top seed, as is the 4x400 team that will have Warrior, Tracey, Evans, Chambers, Drew and Sarah Patterson available.

The 4x800 team, made up of Andrea Melontree, Patterson, Whitney Day, Avila and Drew is seeded fifth.

In the field events, Evan Shimanek is seeded fourth and Haley McDaniel 17th in the pole vault, while Cummings is the sixth seed in the triple jump.

The OBU women also have two entrants - Aubrie Dolliver and Meredith Stroup - in the marathon.

The OBU men expect scoring from Derik Douglas in two hurdle events. He is the third seed in the 110 high hurdles at 13.99 seconds and the eighth seed in the 400 hurdles at 53.27 seconds.

Ethan Mignard, the seventh seed at 47.45 seconds in the 400 meters.

OBU's 4x400 relay with Roman Gray, Justin Frye, Mignard and Seagram Kern is seeded third at 3:11.56.

The pole vault pit is expected to be the source of OBU's biggest points with Jeff Lewis seeded second, David Gilliland fifth and Juan Gonzales sixth.

The Bison also are sending Cordell Baker in the 10,000, Henry Caster and Airick Johnson in the 110 hurdles, Nathan Ellis and Brandon Dickinson in the marathon, Gray in the 400, Adam Godwin in the 1500, Ross Harlan in the 400 hurdles and Kern in the 400 hurdles.

The 4x100 relay team will include Gray, Mignard, Jared Jackson and Frye, while the 4x800 will employ Cody Camacho, Rah'man Byrd, Godwin and Jory Custar.
