A red card on Oklahoma Baptist keeper Shannon Griffith proved costly as the Lady Bison lost at No. 1 Lee, 6-1, Friday.

OBU scored for a 1-0 lead on a goal by Elisa Brito from 25 yards out, clipping the bottom of the cross bar on its way in, just 2:35 into the match.

Griffith was carded in the 12th minute for a tackle outside the box and Lee scored six goals on back-up Molly Brown, who had started the contest on the field.

"I was proud of the way we played," said OBU Coach Mike White. "At times we caused them fits. Lee was just very organized, fast and efficient in the attack. Being a man down was too much to overcome."

OBU had seven shots in the match, including four on goal. Brito had two other shots on goal for the match and Courtney Anderson had one.

OBU returns to action Saturday at Covenant College.
