Baptist University's Lady Bison soccer team Tuesday sealed a host berth in the
Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament with a 4-0 win over St. Gregory's. (Facebook photos)
The win, coupled with a John Brown 1-0 double overtime win over Rogers State, gives OBU the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Lady Bison will host Rogers State at 2 p.m., Saturday.
OBU jumped on the Lady Cavaliers for three goals in the first half.
Courtney Anderson scored the first with an assist from Elisa Brito in the 29th minute, allowing Anderson to build on her career record for game-winning goals.
Anderson scored again in the 36th minute and Kariny Delahaye scored with an assist from Nicol Lagos just before halftime.
JJ Kosa added the fourth goal in the 55th minute to finish off the scoring.
OBU out-shot SGU 26-4 and put 12 shots on goal.
Anderson had four shots on goal, Brito and Kosa had two each and Delahaye, Taler Campbell, Rylea Wallace and Lagos had one each.
Shannon Griffith got the shutout victory in goal, recording two saves.
The Lady Bison complete the regular season at 6-3-2 in the conference and 7-9-2 overall.
