Oklahoma Baptist dropped its spring tennis openers at Oral Roberts University Wednesday night, losing the men's match 4-3 and the women's 7-0.

 

Kolt Byerly recorded a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 singles win at the fifth slot and won at No. 3 doubles with Jacob Albritton by default. Albritton also was credited with a default win at No. 6 singles.

 

Francisco Da Silva and Dario Macanovic slapped an 8-3 loss on Oscar Witzand and Nathaniel Avery in No. 2 doubles for OBU's only other win.

Dario Macanovic and Augustin Jenssen lost their singles matches in three sets each. Jenssen and Marco Carvajal came up just short in No. 1 doubles, 9-7.

 

On the women's side, Paola Costa and Lili Ferreira were the lone Lady Bison to win more than one game in their matches. Costa lost at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2, to Iryna Khatsko and Ferreira fell 6-3, 6-1, to Hailey Martin in No. 2.
