Oklahoma Baptist sent five of its six relay teams forward in the first day of the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio, Thursday.


The Lady Bison moved all three relays on to the finals.


The women's 4x400 relay moved on with the third-best time at 3:51.42. The 4x800 relay had the second-best time at 9:09.41.


The Lady Bison Distance Medley Relay qualified from sixth at 12:16.66.


The Bison had the best time in the distance medley relay, sending the men's team through with a 9:56.52. The 4x400 relay team also advanced at 3:13.39, the second-best time.


OBU's 4x800 relay missed the cut by one spot after finishing ninth in trials at 7:45.77.


Cordell Baker advanced in the 5000 at 14:52.11, which was the fourth best time of the day.


In the men's heptathlon, Caleb Neal is sixth at 2757 and Kameron Conely eighth at 2726 after the first day.
