OBU's Verone Chambers is the Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete and Blaine Bassler the SAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for April 9-16.Chambers, a senior from Clarendon, Jamaica, won the John Jacobs Invitational 400 meters in an NAIA-best 52.71 seconds. She also was part of the NAIA's top 4x100 relay time at 45.44 and the meet-winning 4x400 relay at 3:44.93.

Bassler, a junior from Waco, Texas, placed second in the pole vault at the John Jacobs Invitational, clearing 15-7 to tie the No. 6 height in the NAIA this season.
