Sixteenth-ranked St. Gregory's used big innings to put away Oklahoma Baptist 10-1 and 7-1 Tuesday in Sooner Athletic Conference softball action.
SGU scored its 17 runs in just three innings.
The Lady Cavaliers jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, including a two-run single by Caitlin O'Hagan. HayLea Harper added a grand slam in a six-run third.
OBU's lone run came on an RBI ground out by Alison Tunnell in the bottom of the first. The Lady Bison had six hits in the game, including two each by Audrey Branscum and Amanda Harmon.
Noelle McDowell (7-9) took the loss.
Chianelle Flores (3-3) pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief in the first game and shut out SGU through the first five innings of the second game. The Lady Cavaliers scored seven times in the sixth, highlighted by a three-run home run by Tara Nall.
OBU got its lone run in the first on an RBI double by Tunnell. The Lady Bison had five hits in the game.
Now 19-19 overall and 7-11 in the SAC, OBU plays at Rogers State Thursday night.
