Oklahoma Baptist, needing road wins to keep its hopes of postseason play alive, saw two chances slide by in one-run losses at Rogers State Thursday, 1-0 and 3-2 in eight innings in Sooner Athletic Conference softball action in Claremore.

Now 7-13 in the SAC and 19-21 overall, OBU will try to snap its four-game slide with Saturday against Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

The Hillcats scored the only run of the first game when Kaitlin McCool's two-out RBI single narrowly avoided the glove of diving right fielder Audrey Branscum.

OBU had four hits in the game - all singles - as Cassidi Henderson (8-8) was the hard-luck loser.

The Lady Bison got their first run of the night in the first inning of the second game when Destinee Santistevan delivered an RBI single.

OBU had a run scratched in the third inning when Amanda Harmon was called out for leaving early on a sacrifice fly by Alison Tunnell. Tunnell got a sacrifice fly in the fifth for a 2-0 lead.

The Hillcats tied it in the home half of the fifth on an RBI single by Ashlie Fauchier and an OBU throwing error.

The Lady Bison had eight hits in the game, including two each by Harmon and Ashley Clifton.
