Oklahoma Baptist held Central Baptist to a dozen first-half points and rolled to a 40-73 win in the Noble Complex Saturday.
"It may have been Norman High School," said OBU Coach Doug Tolin of the last time one of his teams held the opponent to 12 first-half points. "I thought our guys did a good job guarding. They're a hard team to guard individually."
OBU scored the game's first 11 points, getting six of those from Justin Williams. Williams finished with a career-best 18 points.
Five different Bison scored during an 11-2 run to end the half with a 36-12 advantage.
OBU got its biggest lead at the end of 10-0 run in the second half as birthday boy Emmanuel Wilson scored seven of his 11 points. That spree gave the Bison a 64-30 lead with 5:36 left in the game.
The Mustangs got no closer than the final 27-point margin.
OBU, facing a zone defense for the first extended time of the season, shot 52 percent from the field, including 43 percent from three-point range.
"For our first time against the zone it wasn't too bad," said Tolin. "We'll see that again. We made some soft passes and turned it over some, but we did a good job finding good shots against the zone."
Williams was six of nine from the field and beat his previous best game by a point.
"We knew they were going to run a zone," Williams said. "We knew we had to swing the ball so that's what we did and we emphasized our defense and we wanted to keep up our intensity."
Joining Williams and Wilson in double figures in the scoring column were Al Moore with 13 and Garrett Steinmetz with 11.
OBU dominated the rebounding, 42-28, getting a team-best seven from Charles Carter.
Now 4-0 on the season, the Bison head to Texas Wesleyan Nov. 21.
