The Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament starts Wednesday at Oklahoma Baptist and Oklahoma City Universities.

The eight teams will be divided into two pools and play round-robin Wednesday through Friday with the pool winners to meet at OBU for a one-game championship at 1 p.m., Saturday.

Playing at OCU will be the top-ranked Stars, fourth-seeded Lubbock Christian, fifth-seeded Northwestern and eighth-seeded Southern Nazarene.

OBU, the No. 2 seed, hosts third-seeded Rogers State, sixth-seeded USAO and seventh-seeded St. Gregory’s.


Wednesday’s schedule at OBU has Rogers State and USAO playing at 2 p.m. and the Bison taking on St. Gregory’s at 6 p.m. At OCU, Lubbock Christian opens with Northwestern Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. and the Stars play Southern Nazarene at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Rogers State plays St. Gregory’s at 2 p.m. and the Bison play USAO at 6 p.m. in Shawnee, while in Oklahoma City, Lubbock Christian and SNU play at 2 and OCU plays Northwestern at 6.

The last day of pool play in Shawnee has USAO playing SGU at 2 p.m. and the Bison playing Rogers State at 6. At OCU, Northwestern plays SNU at 2 p.m. and Oklahoma City meets Lubbock Christian at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. Children under 5 years of age get in free. The games also will be streamed live on line for $7.95 per game or $24.95 for a full tournament internet pass. See SoonerAthletic.org for more details.
