Oklahoma Baptist moved into the winner's bracket final of the NAIA Opening Round Tournament with a 10-6 win over host Tabor Thursday in Hutchinson, Kan.

Daniel Baptista added four RBI to his team-leading total (now at 79) and the Bison overcame a rough sixth inning. OBU will play Rogers State at 2:30 p.m., Friday, with the winner advancing to the championship game.

Tabor scored in the first inning on an RBI single by Koby Temple, but the Bison answered in the home half with a double by Yael Colon and an RBI single from Greg Nelson to tie the score.  OBU, however, left the bases loaded.

The Bison took the lead in the second, getting three consecutive two-out hits. OBU scored twice on a two-run single by Mitchell Prophet, followed by RBI singles by Daniel Baptista and Michael Sliger to build a 5-1 lead.

The Bluejays scored on a wild pitch in the fourth to narrow the gap to 5-2.

OBU got that run back on an RBI ground out by Baptista in the bottom of the fourth.

Nelson added an RBI single in the fifth with two outs to up the lead to 7-2.

Tabor scored four times in the sixth on two hit batsmen, two outfield errors and an RBI single by Colby Tessendorf. That rally trimmed the Bison lead to 7-6.

Dillon Usiak added a sacrifice fly in the seventh for an 8-6 lead before Baptista added a two-run single for a 10-6 advantage.

Chad Hardison (10-2) got the win, going seven innings and throwing 129 pitches. Jesus Carlos struck out three batters in two scoreless innings of relief.

Tabor's Adam McCormick, who came into the game with a NAIA-leading .467 batting average, was one-for-five in the game.

OBU had 12 hits in the game, including three by Nelson and two apiece by Baptista, Sliger and Frankie Rivera.

The Bison improved to 47-12 on the season.
