All-America status eluded Oklahoma Baptist's Lance Goodwin by a mere seven seconds Saturday in the NAIA National Cross Country Championship Meet in Kenosha, Wisc.

Goodwin ran the eight kilometers in freezing temperatures in 25:24.09, finishing 35th in the race. The top30 runners are crowned All-America. The 30th runner cross in 25:17.

OBU's Lady Bison entrant, Becca Murdock, finished 106th in the five kilometer run, coming in in 19:05.

Azusa Pacific won the women's team title while Malone captured the men's championship. Sooner Athletic Conference entrants Wayland Baptist finished sixth in the women's race while Oklahoma Christian took 18th.
