Oklahoma Baptist University golfer JoBeth Hamon has been named NAIA Women's Golf Scholar Athlete.

Hamon, a senior from Centerville, Iowa, is a family and community services major with a minor in Bible. She has a cumulative 3.96 grade point average.

Hamon was one of 105 women's golf student-athletes to earn the honor.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
