Paola Costa has broken the All-America barrier for Oklahoma Baptist University's women's tennis.
Costa was named to the Second-Team over the weekend and is the first Lady Bison to be named All-America since OBU added the sport on the varsity level in 1997.
The senior from Brasilia, Brazil, finished the season with a 14-6 singles record and a 16-4 doubles record for a school record 30 wins in a season. That also gave her a career-record 102 victories.
Costa also set the record for No. 1 singles wins in a season at 17 last year and career No. 1 singles wins at 52 and overall singles wins at 53.
She and partner Lili Ferreira set the school record with 16 doubles wins this season, adding to their career record as a tandem at 40. Costa has a school-record 49 career doubles wins - all at the No. 1 slot.
Costa was an ITA-NAIA All-American her sophomore season.
