Oklahoma Baptist University senior baseball players Daniel Baptista and Mitchell Prophet have been honored by the NAIA on the All-America Baseball team.
Baptista, a first baseman from Fairfield, Calif., was named First-Team All-America at utility while Prophet was named to the honorable mention list as a catcher.
Baptista batted .375 with 18 home runs and 82 RBI - the third best single-season home run and second-best RBI total in school history.
Prophet, a senior from Visalia, Calif., batted .371 with 8 home runs and 49 RBI.
"We are extremely excited for these two guys," said OBU Associate Head Coach Chris Klimas. "It's a well deserved honor for two seniors that the coaching staff relied heavily on as team leaders. Both of these guys had a lot to do with the 93 games that we won in their two years on campus."
