Santa Barbara Community College centerfielder Brandon Laubhan has signed with Oklahoma Baptist University's baseball team.
"Brandon is a true centerfielder that's as good defensively as anyone in our conference," said OBU associate head coach Chris Klimas. "He also brings the potential to hit for power with speed from the centerfield position."
Laubhan played at Palo Verde High School in Nevada, earning First-Team All-Sunset and All-Northwest League honors, as well as Second-Team All-Southern Nevada. He hit .490 with four home runs, 12 doubles, eight triples and 43 RBI under Coach Paul Churchfield.
He had nine double, four triples and a .246 average at Santa Barbara for Coach Jeff Walker.
He is the son of John Laubhan and Renee Laubhan and will be a junior this fall.
Laubhan said he picked OBU because he "had an amazing offer that met my needs and OBU has an exceptional program."
