Modesto Junior College outfielder Kyle Wagner has signed with Oklahoma Baptist for the 2012-13 baseball season.
Wagner was a two-time team MVP and a 2012 First-Team All-Conference selection for Coach Chris Rodriguez at MJC. He batted a team-best .329 in 2012 and .333 in 2011.
"Kyle is a very polished hitter and corner outfielder and has led Modesto in hitting the last two seasons in a very difficult Big 8 Conference," said OBU Associate Head Coach Chris Klimas. "We look forward to him being a middle-of-the-order offensive player next spring."
Wagner was a four-time First-Team All-League award winner at Ripon High School in California.
The son of Betty and Earl Wagner, Kyle is a business major.
Wagner said he chose OBU because "I wanted to play baseball at a top NAIA school and receive a great education."
