Eric Fredrick, a 6-3 left-handed pitcher, will transfer to Oklahoma Baptist from East Central for his senior season of baseball.

Fredrick was 4-1 with a 3.15 earned run average at ECU last season. He was Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week in March.

"Eric is an outstanding addition to our staff," said Associate head Coach Chris Klimas. "He has the ability to be a starter on the front end of our rotation."

A native of Tucson, Ariz., Fredrick played at Mountain View High School. From there, he went on to Cochise College and Pima Community College before landing at ECU. He also is playing for the Southern Ohio Copperheads this summer.

The son of Terry and Linda Fredrick, Eric is a biology major.

Fredrick said he selected OBU "to be a part of a great baseball program."
