OBU struggled offensively in the first part of the first half, but managed an 8-0 lead after six minutes and the Bison had a 26-10 advantage at the half. The Cavaliers shot 23 percent from the field and had 17 turnovers in the first 20 minutes.
After shooting 33 percent in the first half, the Bison found their stroke in the second half, hitting on 52 percent of their attempts. OBU led comfortably throughout the last 20 minutes.
Brent Jones led the Bison with 18 points and had four assists, while Justin Williams added 17 points.
OBU's lone struggle was the rebounding column, but even that didn't turn things for the Cavaliers. After hauling down 17 offensive rebounds, St. Gregory's finished the game with just six second-chance points.
Now 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Bison get a break until Dec. 20, when they host Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College.
