Oklahoma Baptist accomplished something no other Bison team had done with its 82-46 win at Mid-America Christian Saturday - win five consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference road games.

Four different Bison reached double figures in the game, led by Nate Brumfield's 20 points. Brumfield also had eight rebounds.

Al Moore had 16 points and eight rebounds, followed by Brent Jones with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Garrett Steinmetz added 11.

Charles Carter had 11 rebounds to pace OBU's 45-31 rebound dominance.

The Bison forced 23 turnovers, leading to a 30-7 advantage in points over turnovers.

After five early lead changes, OBU went on a 5-0 run to spark a 21-6 Bison run for a 27-13 lead. OBU led by as many as 18 in the first half.

OBU used runs of 13-0 and 10-0 in the second half for a 70-36 lead. The biggest lead was 39 points, 82-43 with a Carter dunk with 1:12 left.

"We got a lot off of our defense," said OBU coach Doug Tolin. "The big guys did a better job, too."

Now 17-2 overall and 10-1 in the SAC, the Bison play at Northwestern at 8 p.m. Saturday.
