Lubbock Christian finished off a sweep of Oklahoma Baptist in Sooner Athletic Conference baseball action Saturday, taking the last of the three-game series 14-7.

 

OBU never led, but tied the score a 1-1 in the third on an RBI single by Sean Iago. Then, down 7-1, rallied to within 7-5 in the fifth with a four-run frame. OBU used a two-run hit down the line by Victor Manzano and a two-run home run by Josh Kirkpatrick.

 

LCU answered with one in the fifth and five in the seventh to put the game away.

 

OBU added one in the eighth on an RBI single by Austin Berg and another RBI single by Kirkpatrick in the ninth.

 

Tyler Duran took the loss for the Bison.

 

OBU had a dozen hits, including three by Kirkpatrick and two each by Iago and Arin Fowble.

 

Now 10-6 overall and 1-5 in the SAC, the Bison host Iowa Wesleyan Wednesday afternoon.
