Oklahoma Baptist will send 42 athletes to the NAIA Indoor Track and
Field Championships in Johnson City, Tenn., Thursday through Saturday.
Twenty-five Bison and 17 Lady Bison get started Thursday with the men’s heptathlon and relay events.
Jonathan Hilton, the top-ranked heptathlon entrant, gets the meet started Thursday at 1 p.m.
Other Bison ranked as possible scorers are the 4x800 relay team of Nick Blackwell, Dakota Price, Andrea Thomas and Durrell Williams (second), Seth Brown in the pole vault (third), Justin Stroup in the 1000 meters (third), Thomas in the 800 (fifth), Jared Huckabee in the heptathlon (sixth) and Brock Stoltzfus in the 3000 meters (sixth).
Marissa Mosesley, Verone Chambers and Abby Lewis look to be the heavy hitters for the Lady Bison. Moseley is ranked first in the 400 meters and second in the 200. Chambers is ranked second in the 400 and fifth in the 200. Lewis is seeded fourth in the high jump and fifth in the pentathlon.
Brianna Shippy is ranked third in the pole vault, while Nicole Cummings is the fourth seed in the triple jump.
The 4x400 relay team of Moseley, Sarah Patterson, Shondia Drew and Chambers is ranked second.
