Oklahoma Christian launched four home runs to Oklahoma Baptist's three and won a shootout at Bison Field Sunday, 17-11.

The Eagles got on top with a Ray Long solo shot in the first inning, but OBU answered with a two-run bottom of the first on a two-run double by Victor Manzano.
The Bison went up 3-1 in the second on a sacrifice fly by Billy Thomas.

OC responded with two to tie in the top of the third on with a two-run home run by Jordan Price. The Eagles took the lead in the top of the fourth with a two-run ground rule double by Price, 5-3.

Chance Nichols launched a three-run home run to put OC ahead 8-3 in the top of the fifth, but the Bison got all three of those back in their half of the inning on an RBI ground-rule double by Josh Kirkpatrick and a two-run home run by Chad Dawkins.

OC solidified its lead with four in the sixth four runs on two hits and two OBU errors.

The Bison answered with three in the sixth on a two-run home run by Billy Thomas and an RBI double by Justin Trejo.

The Eagles added two in the eighth on a two-run home run by Nichols, but Josh Collazo hit his 12th home run, driving in two runs to make it 14-11.

OC added three in the ninth, collecting five hits in the process.

OBU got 14 hits, including two each by Arin Fowble, Collazo, Trejo, Manzano, Dawkins and Billy Jarka.

Josh Palmer dipped to 3-2 with the loss.

Now 18-8 overall and 5-7 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, OBU steps out of conference play Monday to host Hastings at 1 p.m.
