Twenty-fourth-ranked Oklahoma Baptist fought hard but lost a season-ending 6-3 decision to No. 19 Oklahoma Christian in the NAIA Unaffiliated #3 Women's Tennis National Qualifier semifinals Saturday.

Paola Costa and Samantha Attard picked up OBU's only wins as Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, and as the OBU's No. 1 doubles entrant.

Costa blew past Olfa Dhaoiu, 6-1, 6-3 in No. 1 singles while Attard got the better of Gabriela Nastas, 6-3, 6-3. The tandem had earlier registered the only doubles win, knocking off Nastasa and Leila Keihani, 8-5.

Sarah Alexander got close in her No. 6 singles match, losing two tie-break sets 7-5 and 7-4. Brooke Mowery also battled in No. 5 singles before Sarah Yeargan claimed the match-clinching victory, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).

Mowery and Camber Robinett came up just short, 8-6, in No. 2 doubles.
