OBU captured five events at the Bethany Invitational Saturday.

 

Bruno Scacalossi cruised through his three matches and topped Lindenwood's Traldi, 7-6, 7-5 for the Flight 1 title. OBU's Sergeij Babic was eliminated by Traldo in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-4.

 

Gustavo Schaeffer took Flight 3, losing only eight games in straight set wins in reaching the finals. He defeated Lindenwood's Capdeviole in the championship, 7-5, 6-3.

 

Jonathan DiCrisantis won Flight 8 with a 6-1, 6-4 win over unattached Krug.

 

Connor Tebow made a first round exit and Scott Milner went 1-1 in Flight 2. In Flight 4, Michael Canavan was 1-1 and Taylor Perry reached the third round.

 

Flight 7 saw Jacob Hooten, Bennet Rader and Nathan Maynard all make second round exits.

 

Scacalossi and Schaeffer won No. 1doubles, defeating Babic and Milner in the finals. Neither team lost more than three games in any match en route to the finals.

 

Perry and Caznavan reached the semifinal round in No. 2 doubles and Tebow and Rader were first-round casualties.

 

Katie Halbesleben won No. 3 singles, cruising to the finals where she handed Sharpe of Lindenwood a 6-1, 6-0 setback. Diana Barns lost to Sharp in the second round.

 

Paola Costa got to the finals of No. 1 singles before losing to Newman's Ferriera, while Mariana Rosa reached the second round.

 

Camber Robinett got to the second round of second flight singles.

 

Costa and Robinett got to the finals of No. 1 doubles before bowing out to Ferriera and Balarin of Newman. The Newman team eliminated Rosa and Burns in the second round.
