The Lady Bison cross country team cruised to a victory in the eight-team in the OBU Bison Invitational Saturday morning at Gordon Cooper Technology Center.

All five Oklahoma Baptist scorers crossed among the first 11 runners and OBU had seven runners in the first 15.

Danielle Cummins covered the muddy course in 19:59 to finish third overall and first for OBU. Natalie Pedersen was a second behind her in fourth place. Meredith Gardner claimed eighth in 20:06 and Jessica Herbert was ninth in 20:09. Kayle Lee finished the scoring for OBU in 11th at 20:16.

Sarah Taylor was 12th in 20:18 and Aubrie Dolliver was 15th in 20:18.

Also for the Lady Bison, Sara Branson was 24th in 20:54, Erica Rackley was 34th in 21:47, Brandy Moore was 36th in 21:59, Kirsten Stuckey was 39th in 22:20, Melissa Farias was 46th in 22:45, Samantha Kellogg was 47th in 22:51, Tatiana Stoltzfus was 50th in 23:03, Yesenia Avila was 52nd in 23:29, Amy McCarthy was 53rd in 23:39 and Katy Palmer was 56th in 24:56.

OBU finished with 35 points, followed by Oklahoma Christian with 61, East Central with 71, Southwestern (Kansas) with 85, Central Oklahoma with 102, Langston at 204, Oklahoma City at 207 and Northwestern Oklahoma State at 220.

Southwestern's Amy Pierson won the individual title in 18:36.

OBU returns to action Oct. 24 at the Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan.
