Oklahoma Baptist dropped a second consecutive double-overtime road

against John Brown in Siloam Springs, Ark.
The Bison fell 4-3 to the Golden Eagles after having dropped a 2-1 match in extra time at Oklahoma Christian on Tuesday.
Gabriel Duarte scored for JBU in the 13th minute for a 1-0 lead, but Victor Costa scored twice in the 16th and 32nd minutes to give the Bison a 2-1 edge.
John Brown stole the momentum heading into the half with a goal by Juan Iraola with 22 seconds left before the break.
Joel Thomas gave the Golden Eagles a 3-2 lead in the 71st minute, but Cristiano Sampaio found the net for the Bison to make it 3-3 with 4:53 left in regulation.
There were only two shots in the first overtime and OBU had both. A shot by Connor Adams went high and a potential game-winner by Sampaio was turned back by JBU keeper Ryan Helmer.
Iraola connected with the game-winner for the Golden Eagles in the second overtime.
OBU had 13 shots in the match with nine shots on goal. Adams had two shots on goal.
Jacob Hibbard had seven saves for the Bison.
Now 3-8-3 overall and 1-4 in the SAC, the Bison are idle until Oct. 27 when they host Oklahoma City.
