Both Oklahoma Baptist cross country teams placed third in the Mid-States Classic, hosted by Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan.

The 15^th-ranked OBU men were third in a close call among four teams, separated by four points. Colorado College won with 125 points, followed by No. 24 Wayland Baptist with 126, OBU with 127 and Oklahoma Christian with 129. No. 21 Lindenwood was fifth at 133 and No. 23 Doane was sixth at 161 among the 22-team field. Three Bison scorers finished less than a second behind the runner in front of them.

Craig Donnelley led OBU in ninth place at 25:51, followed by Nathan Ellis in 20^th at 26:15.Caleb Clark was 28^th in 26:28, Brandon Dickinson was 31^st in 26:31 and Justin Stroup was 39^th in 26:39.

Louie Cook was 47^th in 27:00 and Ben Moore was 61^st in 27:21.

Also for the OBU men, Trevor Martin was 65^th in 27:31, Jordan Sinclair was 67thin 27:33, Neal Ellis was 74^th in 27:40, Ryan Brooks was 83^rd in 27:56, Nick Blackwell was 86^th in 27:58, Nick Hermes was 95^th in 28:10, Kyle Craddock was 117^th at 28:51 and Ryan Smith was 168^th in 30:40.

The Lady Bison also were third among 22 teams with 111 points. Kansas Wesleyan won with 92 points and Oklahoma Christian was second with 108.

Natalie Pedersen led the Lady Bison in 12^th place at 19:09, with Meredith Gardner in 19^th at 19:36. Kayla Lee was 28^th in 19:44, Jessica Herbert was 31^st at 19:50 and Aubrie Dolliver rounded out the scoring in 36^th in 20:00.

Danielle Cummins was 44^th in 20:11 and Sarah Taylor was 55^th at 20:30.

Also for OBU, Sarah Branson was 56^th at 20:32, Yesenia Avila was 71^st at 21:06, Melissa Farias was 85^th at 21:37, Samantha Kellogg was 109^th at 22:12, Erica Rackley was 119^th at 22:33, Kriston Stuckey was 124^th at 22:44 and Katy Palmer was 118^th at 24:12.

Next action for OBU is Nov. 6 at the Sooner Athletic Conference Meet in Lubbock, Texas.
