Oklahoma Baptist locked up a spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament Friday night with a 3-1 road win over Wayland Baptist.

OBU topped the Pioneers 25-23, 26-24, 18-25 and 25-16 to improve to 8-6 in the SAC with two matches remaining. The top five teams advance to the postseason tournament and the Lady Bison, currently in third, hold crucial tiebreakers over two of the three teams that could pull even with them.

Chassie Hamilton led the Lady Bison with 19 kills and three aces, while Tamy Leipelt added 14. Sabra Clark had 53 assists.

Cassie Winker had 36 digs with Tamy Leipelt getting 21 and Brittany Palmer and Clark contributing 11 each. Skyler Strahm had four blocks and Tori Orms added three.

The win moves the Lady Bison to 29-9 overall heading into Saturday afternoon's match at Lubbock Christian.
