Oklahoma Baptist University has added Rockwall High School standout Amanda Harmon to the softball roster for the 2011 season.
The daughter of Reid and Kim Harmon, Amanda was a two-time All-District outfielder, earning 10-4A Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2009. She is a two-time District Outfielder of the Year.
Harmon was a four-year letter-winner and has been a National Honor Society member for two years. She was twice named to the District All-Academic Team and earned the Fighting Jacket Award.
"Amanda is a player we really wanted to get here at OBU," said Lady Bison coach Pam Fink. "She has a lot to offer the team and will fit in well with the academic standards of the University."
Harmon said she selected OBU because of the "small, Christian environment, good academics and the softball program."
