Despite 25 turnovers, Oklahoma Baptist rolled up the points in a 92-70 Sooner Athletic Conference men's basketball win over Mid-America Christian Saturday in Shawnee.

OBU shot 56 percent from the game as five Bison reached double figures led by Nate Brumfield with 22 and A.J. Hawkins with 21.

"We shot it pretty good," said OBU Coach Doug Tolin. "I don't know if we can expect eight three-pointers in the first half every night. We were ready to play in some areas and in some we weren't. There are some things we need to get a little better at. We need to become a little bit better defensively."

OBU trailed briefly early but used an 11-0 run to build a 30-14 lead late in the first half and never looked back.

Joining Brumfield and Hawkins in double figures were Emmanuel Wilson with 13 points, Tim Bowman with 11 and Garrett Steinmetz with 10.

OBU out-rebounded the Evangels 45-23 with Brumfield and Hawkins snatching nine each while Tyler Parker and Wilson had eight apiece. Brumfield also led with six assists.

The Bison forced just 14 turnovers despite getting three steals each by Wilson and Bowman.

Now 8-0 on the season and 2-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Bison play at St. Gregory's Thursday night.
