Oklahoma Baptist suffered its first Sooner Athletic Conference defeats
in both men's and women's basketball Saturday, but the losses were
minimal in Monday's Top 25 rankings.
The Bison kept a hold on their No. 3 ranking and lost only its first-place vote and four poll points. The loss Saturday was OBU's first on the men's side this season, making them 18-1
The Lady Bison moved from sole possession of a No. 4 ranking to sharing the fourth spot in the poll with Vanguard. The OBU women lost 14 points with their second loss of the season. The Lady Bison are 17-2 this season.
OBU hosts Oklahoma Christian Thursday. In the poll released Monday, the Eagles are ranked 17th and the Lady Eagles are ranked 18th.
The Sooner Athletic Conference also includes, on the men's side, No. 6 Southern Nazarene and vote-getters Mid-America Christian, Oklahoma City and John Brown. The SAC Women are also represented in the poll by No. 7 Oklahoma City, No. 20 Lubbock Christian, No. 25 Rogers State and vote-getters Southern Nazarene and Wayland Baptist.
