Oklahoma Baptist opened women's golf season with a seventh-place finish in the nine-team Mary Hardin-Baylor Lady Crusader Invitational Tuesday at Mill Creek Golf Course in Salado, Texas.

OBU shot a two-round 773 to finished 119 strokes behind champion Western Texas at 654. Redlands was second at 670, followed by Lubbock Christian at 690, McMurry at 734, UMHB at 738, LeTourneau at 756, OBU, Texas-Dallas at 844 and Concordia at 947.

Amy Mashburn led the Lady Bison in 13th with a 31-over-par 177. She had an 89 and an 88. Amanda Hillemeyer was 29th with a 191, shooting a 93 and a 98.

Kali Schmidt shot 99 and 96 for 195 and 33rd. Gabriella Dellick wa 42nd at 216 with a 107 and a 109, while Brittainy Barina was 43rd with a 115 and 103 for 218.

OBU returns to action March 8 at Oak Hills in Ada.
