The Lady Bison softball team split a pair of shutout victories with
host Our Lady of the Lake University Wednesday in San Antonio, winning
the opener 11-0 before losing the nightcap 4-0.
OBU got 15 hits in the opener, including home runs by Kylie King and
Kaley Dickerson, and erupted for 10 runs in the fifth inning to claim
the run rule victory.
Dickerson, Alyssa Henkes, Ashley Clifton, Sonya Beach, Theresa Garcia and Alison Tunnell had two hits apiece, while King had four RBI, Henkes had two and Clifton, Dickerson, Beach, Garcia and Tunnell had one apiece.
Beach tossed a two-hitter for the win.
The offense disappeared in the second game as OBU collected just three hits, including a double by King.
Now 13-9, the Lady Bison play at Houston-Victoria's Tournament Friday and Saturday, taking on Huston-Tillotson and No. 13 Houston-Victoria at 5 and 7 p.m. Friday and No. 9 Simon Fraser at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
