Oklahoma Baptist has signed 6-9 shot-blocking center Dennis Tolliver for
the 2010-11 season.
Tolliver, a transfer from South Mountain Community College, averaged 1.7
blocked shots per game as a freshman under coaches Dan Nichols and
Daven Vo. He will have three years at OBU.
A product of Cesar Chavez High School in Phoenix, Ariz., Tolliver led South Mountain in rebounding and blocked shots.
"Dennis is very long and athletic and he's a good defender with a lot of upside," said OBU assistant coach Kyle Tolin.
Tolliver is a broadcast journalism major.
"I chose OBU because it's the best program for me to flourish academically and athletically," Tolliver said.
Oklahoma Baptist, coached by Doug Tolin, has advanced to 10 consecutive NAIA National Tournaments, including a national championship win in 2010.
