Oklahoma Baptist senior Kaley Dickerson hit a two-run home run to break the school RBI record in a double-header split with Oklahoma Christian in Shawnee Thursday.

Dickerson, a senior from Carrollton, Texas, came into the game tied with OBU Hall of Famer Destini Anderson with 146 career RBI. She hit a Leigh Leonard pitch over the fence in right-center field for RBI Nos. 147 and 148.

OBU won the first game of the day 3-1 and lost the second 7-3.

The Lady Bison broke a scoreless tie in the fifth with three runs. Theresa Garcia walked and scored on a throwing error that allowed Dickerson to reach second base. Krystal Johnson singled and stole second before Abbey Basler lifted a sacrifice fly to right for a 2-0 lead. Johnson came home on the play after a throwing error by the catcher.

Cassidi Henderson (6-9) scattered six hits and allowed only a run in the sixth to pick up the win. She had three strikeouts.

Alyssa Henkes had two hits for the Lady Bison.

Leonard (12-11) walked Henkes to start the second game and then retired the next 17 OBU batters, taking a no-hitter through 5.2 innings. Henkes singled through the middle to break up the no-hitter in the sixth.

OC had built a 7-0 lead with a run in every inning and two in the third.

In the bottom of the seventh, Ashley Clifton led off with her fourth home run of the season and after a single by Alison Tunnell, Dickerson hit a two-run home run for the RBI record.

OBU ended with four hits in the game.

Now 20-24 overall and 7-19 in the SAC, the Lady Bison host Southern Nazarene at 1 p.m., Saturday.
