Three Oklahoma Baptist athletes have qualified for the multi-event championships at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships in Indiana next week.

Derik Douglas and Jared Huckabee have qualified in the decathlon and Abby Lewis will compete in the heptathlon.

Douglas, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, is ranked fourth among the 16 decathlon qualifiers. He scored a 6531 at the Mark Elliston Combined Event Meet at OBU earlier this month.

Huckabee, a sophomore from Rockwall, Texas, is ranked seventh with a 6358 at the Drake Relays.

Lewis, a senior from Electra, Texas, is ranked 13th of 16 in the heptathlon with a 4304 in the Elliston meet.

The decathlon and heptathlon kick off the NAIA Meet Thursday at 10 a.m.
