Chaffey College All-Conference centerfielder Chris Lemus is transferring to Oklahoma Baptist for the 2010-11 season.

Lemus was captain of Coach Jeff Harlow's Panthers and earned First-Team All-Foothill Conference honors in 2010 with a .381 average with a conference-best seven triples to go with 27 RBI and a dozen stolen bases. He also was 2009 Foothills Rookie of the Year and Second-Team All-Conference.

He was All-County and an All-County All-Star for Norte Vista High School in Riverside, Calif. He was a three-time Offensive Player of the Year and team MVP in 2006. He was All-Sunkist three seasons and All-CIF in 2006 for Coach Scott Albertson. He batted .480 his senior season.

The son of Marco and Stacy Lemus, Chris plans to major in history.

Lemus said he selected OBU "because it seemed like a good place to continue my college career and also play in a competitive conference and a winning tradition."
