Meet Goalkeeper Parker Lawter

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer has added goalkeeper Parker Lawter for the 2017-18 season.
 
Lawter is a native of Norman, where he played four years for the varsity team at Norman High School.
 
"I chose to attend OBU for the excellent coaching staff and great facilities," said Lawter.
 
The son of Joe and Lisa Lawter, Parker was a member of the National Honors Society, the Spanish National Honors Society, and the AP Capstone program.
 
"Parker Lawter is going to bring a lot of stability to [the team] with his communication. He's a really confident goalkeeper who brings a lot of experience to [the Bison]," said OBU head coach Anthony Yousey.
 
"We're hoping he will push and challenge those in front of him. He has a good chance to come here and earn some minutes and make that position his own."
