Galarza was a two-sport star at San Jacinto Christian Academy. She was a three-year All-State and All-Academic player in volleyball, winning MVP honors twice and Best Offensive Player once. In basketball she was a three-time All-State pick, four-time school MVP and three-time Academic All-State. Kimberly is the daughter of Deboarh Galarza.
