Biology Major, Born Jan. 12, 1988

Garrett was an honorable mention All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection and a member of the Academic All-Conference team last season. The son of Tom and Lanita Steinmetz, Garrett attended Fort Cobb-Broxton High School, leading the team to a state title in 2005. He was Class B Player of the Year that season, earning All-State and Faith 7 All-Star honors. He came to OBU from Seminole State College. Recruited by Northern Arizona, Montana State, Arkansas State and Texas Christian, Garrett selected OBU because of "the basketball program."
