Jorden comes to OBU from Gavlian College, where he was a second-team All-League selection. He was also second-team All-League at Gilroy High School under Coach Clint Wheeler and played four seasons for the Morgan Hill Mudcats. Jorden is the son of Anne and Frank Saez, the brother of Jose Newton and the half brother of Brett and Brent Newton. Jorden's cousin, Dave Newton, is in the San Francisco Giants minor league system. Jorden came to OBU "to get a top notch education, better myself spiritually, mentally and physically and continue my baseball career."
