At Sapulpa High School, Alison was 2008 Slow-pitch All-State and Fast-pitch All-Conference under Coach Jolene Martin. The daughter of Bennie and Stephanie Tunnell, Alison was on the Dean's Honor Roll, and Second-Team All-Conference her freshman year. Alison chose OBU because of "the great Christian atmosphere."
