White is in
his second year at the helm for the Lady Bison. Previously he spent two years as assistant at OBU under current men's
head coach Brent Coates for both the men and women.
In his first year the Lady Bison finished with an 8-7-4 season, going 5-3-3 in
the very competitive Sooner Athletic Conference and setting many defensive
school records.
A player and graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, AL White went on to
attend the University of Alabama - Birmingham to earn his Masters degree in
Sport Administration.
His other
coaching experience includes assistant men's coaching position at Palm Beach
Atlantic University, the head women's soccer coaching role at Montreat College
for five seasons, and the head men and women's role at Stratford Academy in
Macon, GA.
White also is a certified United States Soccer Federation coach with a national
‘A' Level Coaching License.
Soccer is year around for Coach White. He coaches competitive soccer for the Norman Youth Soccer Association in
the fall and spring and during the winter months he directs the Bison Winter
Futsal league at OBU's wellness center to raise money for the Bisons' annual
trip to Fairbanks, AK to run a soccer camp for the community.
Using soccer as a tool for ministry is a passion of his. Since spending two years as a youth sports developer in Cambodia and Uzbekistan as part of the Southern Baptist International Mission Board, he has also taken soccer teams to Thailand, Laos, Australia and New Zealand.
If not on the soccer field coaching, you'll find coach White enjoying spending time with his wife Mandy (OBU '94) and their six children Hannah, Matthew, Michaela, Hali, Hope and Hudson. The Whites are expecting their next child in December.
