Oklahoma Baptist finished fourth in the men's race and sixth in the women's for a combined third place at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships Saturday in Vancouver, Wash.
The Bison finished with 179 points and the Lady Bison 253 to give OBU a combined 432, which is the third-best combination total in the NAIA. British Columbia had the top combined total.

Emily Christiansen and Mariah Strong from the women's team and Bison Cordell Baker, Neal Ellis, Austin Germiller, Samuel Whelan and Louie Cook earned the award.
Oklahoma Baptist won the Men's Sooner Athletic Conference Cross Country championship Saturday in Shawnee, advancing as a team to the NAIA Meet.
OBU won with a score of 35, followed by Wayland Baptist at 47, Lubbock Christian at 58, Oklahoma City at 114, Rogers State at 134, St. Gregory's at 141, John Brown at 184 and Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 240.
Oklahoma Baptist punched its ticket for the NAIA National Women's Cross Country Championships Saturday, winning the Sooner Athletic Conference Meet at Gordon Cooper Technology Center.
OBU won with 30 points, followed by Rogers State with 79, Oklahoma City with 89, Lubbock Christian at 101, Wayland Baptist at 120, St. Gregory's at 158, John Brown at 166 and Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 183.

The women's race is at 9:30, followed by the men at 10:15.
